Promoting AYP's "Single Spark" Event

Client Background: Founded in the fall of 2019, Adventist Young Professionals (AYP) is a vibrant community of over 10,000 young Adventists dedicated to fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ambition centered around Christ. AYP Orlando, under the leadership of Joffre St. Hilaire, organizes events and activities that bring young Adventists together, helping them connect and grow both personally and spiritually.

Project Goal: AYP Orlando was preparing to host an Adventist Singles event called "Single Spark," designed for young Adventists seeking romantic connections and potentially finding life partners. The event had a limited attendance cap of 30 guests. AYP approached our digital media and marketing agency to produce a short commercial video to promote the event, raise awareness, and attract attendees.

Challenges: The primary challenge was to create a promotional video that upheld Adventist ideals and beliefs while also appealing to modern trends and audience interests. The content needed to be respectful of religious values yet engaging enough to satisfy trend algorithms and capture the attention of the target audience.

Solutions Implemented: To address these challenges, we adopted a personal storytelling approach. We focused on individual cast members, asking them to share their personal stories, values, and what they were searching for in an honest Adventist partner. This narrative-driven method not only respected Adventist ideals but also aligned with popular trend algorithms that favor storytelling content.

The final video featured genuine, heartfelt stories from young Adventists, which helped create an authentic and relatable promotional piece. This approach was well-received and effectively engaged the target audience.

Results: The promotional video achieved significant engagement across social media platforms:

  • Instagram: 3,276 views, 94 likes, 5 comments, and 47 shares.
  • TikTok: 1,845 views, 12 likes, 1 comment, and 1 save.

The event, despite its limited attendance cap of 30 guests, successfully sold 17 tickets. 56% of their goal cap of 30.
